It began in the early 1970s, when Dennis Stalkie and his family started spending summer holidays
and winter snowmobile rides in Muskoka; even honeymooning at Sherwood Inn.
1983
Dennis joined Xerox Canada Ltd and worked his way from Account Manager to National Sales Manager.
1992
Dennis stepped off the corporate career path and moved to Bracebridge as the area Account Manager. Shortly after, he started DS Office Solutions, a Xerox Authorized Agent, focused on supporting the many business in the Muskoka-Parry Sound region. The business has grown steadily ever since.
1998
As the needs of offices changed, relying on email and digital documents, Dennis rebranded the company to Digital Office Solutions.
2000
The business grew to include North Bay. Our team has been supporting the North Bay area for over 20 years.
2010
The business expanded again to support Temiskaming Shores, Kirkland Lake, and Haliburton County.
2015
Due to the rapid growth and complexity in our customers’ environments and the IT landscape, we added IT Professionals to our local team to better serve our customers.
2018
Whitney Stalkie joined her father in the business and will transition to owner-operator over the next few years.
2020
The COVID-19 pandemic drove business to the home office. The team adapted to provide their many customers with powerful digital solutions in the home environment.
2022
A major milestone, 30 years in business!
